2/24/17: Steve Earle “Copperhead Road”
Today’s “Music in My Head” features special guest, Aaron Keck!
Coming to Memorial Hall here in Chapel Hill on March 3, Steve Earle is known as one of the great American singer-songwriters. Earle’s trademark blend of folk, roots rock and country music lends itself well to songs crafted around pieces of Americana.
Music born of Earle’s personal life and political views combine with well-told stories to create a piece of Nashville history that retains a cult following to this day, with fans relentlessly pursing his unique sense of rebellion, civil disobedience and confession. Today’s “Music in My Head” is “Copperhead Road,” without a doubt Steve Earle’s best-known song.
