Coming off a two-game stretch–both wins for UNC–where he averaged 25 points and 14.5 rebounds per outing, Tar Heel junior forward Luke Maye earned the ACC Player of the Week honor for the third time this season.

The league announced the selection on Monday, just two days after Maye scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in UNC’s win over Notre Dame.

This after posting a pair of career highs with 32 points and 18 rebounds at the Smith Center against Boston College on Tuesday–the most a Tar Heel has scored at home since Wayne Ellington had 34 back in 2009.

Duke freshman forward Marvin Bagley III was the other player recognized on Monday, as he took home the ACC Rookie of the Week award for the fifth time this season after becoming the first freshman in conference history to record at least five 30-point games in the same season.

Maye and the Tar Heels will be back in action on Tuesday, when they host No. 20 Clemson at the Dean Dome.
