CHAPEL HILL– The No. 15 Carolina women’s basketball returns to the cozy confines of Carmichael Arena on Saturday after an exam break.

The 7-2 Tar Heels will welcome 3-3 Charleston Southern to Chapel Hill at 1 p.m. Saturday.

After an extended hiatus, the young Tar Heels will be excited to build off their 75-62 victory over No. 13 Nebraska in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

UNC leads the nation in field goal defense, allowing a mere 30.1 shooting percentage from the field for their opponents.

And on the offensive end, Carolina features a balanced attack. Diamond DeShields, Allisha Gray, Stephanie Mavunga, and Xylina McDaniel are all averaging double figures this season.

All fans with tickets to the men’s game against Kentucky later in the day can gain free admission to the women’s contest by presenting their tickets.

WCHL, 97.9 FM, will carry all the action live starting at 1 p.m.
