Town Hall Tree Lighting in Carrboro – Friday, 6pm – 7pm

Join the Carrboro Board of Aldermen for the annual holiday tree lighting and children’s chorus. Hear children from Carrboro Elementary and McDougle Elementary sing holiday tunes!

Playmakers Repertory Company The May Queen  Friday, 7:30pm & Sunday, 2pm

 Enjoy a good laugh this weekend and go see The May Queen, a new comedy by Molly Smith Metzler. Ever wondered what happened to your high school ‘queen? Then this play is for you. “It’s a mixed-up mash-up when an unexpected high school reunion meets the hilarity of The Office!” from Playmakers Repertory Company. This is your last time to see this production, don’t miss it. This comedy can be enjoyed by everyone who went to high school and is recommended for audiences 14 and up.

2nd Friday Art Walk  – Friday, 6pm -9pm

Chapel Hill/Carrboro Holiday Parade – Saturday, 10am – 12pm 

Don’t miss this favorite Chapel Hill tradition, the annual holiday parade. Come see the marching bands, business leaders, youth groups, and decorated floats (WCHL will be in the Free Spirit Tiny House decorated with lights, decorations and of course our favorite On-Air talent Ron Stutts and Aaron Keck ). Don’t forget to bring a toy for Toys for Tots  a collection drive i the parade at 140 E. Franklin St.

2nd Sour Barn Bash – Saturday,  2pm – 6pm

Beer lovers get ready for an afternoon full of funky, tart and fruity beers! The 2nd Sour Barn Bash presented by Steel String Brewery is this Saturday. This premier tasting event features sour and barrel aged beers from local North Carolina breweries and beyond.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Benevolence Farm, a local non-profit helping to rehabilitate women leaving prison.
