Earlier this week, the UNC women’s basketball team participated in the Lemons for Leukemia challenge.
The challenge aims to raise awareness for bone marrow donations through the Be The Match foundation. Celebrities, athletes and even the hosts of Good Morning America have participated, biting into raw lemon wedges despite the sour taste.
Now, it’s our turn.
In addition to completing the challenge, members of the WCHL staff will be adding themselves to the bone marrow registry in hopes of one day saving the life of someone in need of a transplant.
We challenge the entire Orange County community to participate in the challenge, as well as to add themselves to the bone marrow registry!
