Independent Animal Rescue did something a little different this week for Adopt-a-Pet.  They brought in a whole litter of kittens.

Kittens from Independent Animal Rescue

Mama Maria recently came to Independent Animal Rescue.  While at the shelter, she gave birth to four adorable kittens.  Each kitten is different. Seriously.  There’s basically one of each kind of kitten in the litter.  Then, Maria began to care for another kitten.  So, she is taking care of five kittens.

All six cats, including Maria, are available for adoption from Independent Animal Rescue.  You can meet them at an adoption event at the South Square Petco in Durham this Saturday.

From their website animalrescue.net:

Our mission is to rescue and provide safe and responsible care for homeless, abandoned, and abused animals. We shall strive to help all animals in need through our service programs. We will serve our communities through promotion of spay or neuter for all companion animals, and the education of children and adults in the humane care, respect and responsibility for animals on this earth.
