This week’s WCHL Hometown Hero is Mark Dorosin, the Co-Director at the Julius L. Chambers Center for Civil Rights, a nonprofit law firm dedicated to providing low-wealth North Carolina communities with sound legal representation in their efforts to dismantle structural racism

The Chamber recently won a case to annex the predominately black community of Walnut Tree in Stokes County into the Town of Walnut Cove last month after a lawsuit alleging racial discrimination.

Dorosin also serves as the Chair of the Orange County Board of Commissioners and teaches Political and Civil Rights and State and Local Government at UNC Law School.
