This week’s WCHL Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Judith Cone, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Vice Chancellor for Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Economic Development. Per their official website, she leads the campus in strengthening a university-wide culture of innovation and entrepreneurship so that Carolina is a place where innovators thrive.
Cone was instrumental in setting up this year’s Innovation Showcase, where students, faculty, and staff come together to pitch their latest innovations and ideas.
It’s great because it’s a celebration of the great things that are happening from student innovators and faculty innovators and all the programs that support them, and a pitch session for more than 40 teams that are going to make their pitch.
