Jeanne Brown, the Mayoral Aide to Pam Hemminger, is this week’s WCHL Hometown Hero! Brown has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty in her role, dedicating herself to the Food for the Summer and Harvest Books programs in order to ensure that all children in our community have access to enriching experiences.

Most recently, Brown was a large part of putting together an eclipse viewing party at Hargraves for children to be involved in a life learning experience that they would always remember. Over 350 people gathered to watch a live feed from NASA, share eclipse glasses to see the celestial event for themselves, eat snacks, make pin hole viewers and celebrate a day of learning and play together. The Chapel Hill community is proud of Brown and her commitment to inclusive experiences for all, and WCHL is proud to recognize her as a Hometown Hero!
