Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton appeared on Funny or Die’s Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis.  The interview was released Thursday morning.

Galifianakis is notorious for creating the most awkward atmosphere possible for his guests.  This leads to conversations about sexism and emails with Clinton.

In the video, Clinton is peppered with questions like if she’s excited to be first “girl president” and if she’s “down with TPP.”  She also sits through a commercial break that features an ad from Donald Trump.  The Verge calls this video Clinton’s “best youth play ever.”

Galifianakis is no stranger to hosting politicians on his show.  President Barack Obama appeared on Between Two Ferns in 2014.

He is also not a stranger to politicians in his personal life.  Galifianakis, who was born and raised in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, is the nephew of Durham’s Nick Galifianakis.  The elder Galifianakis served three terms in Congress.  Nick Galifianakis lost a bitter race for Senate in 1972 to Jesse Helms.

His uncle’s loss to Helms stuck with Zach Galifianakis.  In 2012, he discussed that 1972 race with the Toronto Sun:

“When my uncle ran, it was the beginning of mud-slinging in modern politics, at least in that state.  I grew up listening to all the stories. The election got turned around in a couple of weeks. The KKK (Ku Klux Klan) made appearances at a couple of rallies, I guess to intimidate him…I think the idea was, ‘His name sounds different enough. He’s not like us.’”
