CHAPEL HILL–The No. 4 Tar Heels defeated the Clemson Tigers 2-0 Thursday night in front of a spirited crowd at Fetzer Field.
Senior midfielder Crystal Dunn returned from her time with the U.S. National Team, and she provided a nice boost to the Carolina offensive attack.
Summer Green and Kealia Ohai scored the pair of goals for the Tar Heels. The team also tallied their 10th shutout of the season.
With the win, UNC improved to 14-3 overall and 8-3 in the ACC. Clemson dropped to 7-6-4 overall and 4-5-2 in conference action.
Next up for the Tar Heels is a Sunday road trip to Wake Forest to take on the Demon Deacons.
CHAPEL HILL– The No.4 Tar Heel women’s soccer team will be back on the field Thursday night at 7 p.m. for an ACC match against the Clemson Tigers.
The Tar Heels fell to top-ranked Virginia last time out by a 2-0 margin.
Sitting at 13-3 overall and 7-3 in the ACC, Carolina will try to build some momentum heading into the looming postseason against the 7-5-4 Tigers who are 4-4-2 in conference play.
