The Chapel Hill Tigers hosted the Carrboro Jaguars in a non conference game on Monday, April 10th at 7:00.  The game was the second broadcast in WCHL’s expansion of high school sports to include not only football, but basketball and baseball as well.  The Tigers defeated the Jaguars 11 – 1 behind strong pitching performances by senior right hander Jackson Pettee and junior Jake Smith.  Pettee started the game for the Tigers pitching four solid innings.  The senior gave up one run, while allowing only one hit, and striking out two Jaguars in his outing.  Junior ace Jake smith closed out the game in relief throwing one inning of no hit baseball while striking out two.  Tiger shortstop Tyler Hansen and right fielder Anthony Costellano each had 2 hits in Chapel Hill’s winning effort.

The Carrboro Jaguars host Bartlett Yancey on Thursday, April 13th in a Midstate  2-A conference match up with a 5:00 p.m. scheduled first pitch.  The Chapel Hill Tigers host the Anthens Drive Jaguars on Thursday, April 13th as a part of the popular Hilltop Tournament.  The scheduled game time is 7:00 p.m. and will be heard on WCHL.
