Having spent his career popularizing the catchphrase, “Go where you go, and do what you do,” while referring to the athletes he was covering, the longtime radio voice of the Tar Heels, Woody Durham, is now headed to a new destination himself–the National Sports Media Association Hall of Fame.

It was announced Tuesday that Durham–who spent 40 years as the play-by-play man for UNC football and basketball–will join Thomas Boswell, Dick Weiss and Bryant Gumbel as part of the Hall of Fame’s four-person class this year.

The official inductions will take place in June.

Throughout his career, the NSMA recognized Durham 13 times as the North Carolina Sportscaster of the Year. He retired following the 2010-11 Tar Heel men’s basketball season.
