Senior midfielder Megan Buckingham joined a pair of juniors–midfielder Dorian Bailey and defender Julia Ashley–in giving UNC three players named to the All-ACC Academic Women’s Soccer Team.

It’s Buckingham’s second time earning the honor, and the first selections for both Bailey and Ashley.

The league announced the selections on Thursday.

Requirements to gain All-ACC Academic recognition call for players to have a 3.0 grade point average in their most recent semesters, while maintaining at least a 3.0 for the entirety of their time in college.

Performance on the field is also taken into account.

Duke led all teams with 10 selections to the All-Academic roster, including the league’s Scholar Athlete of the Year in the sport–senior forward Imani Dorsey.
