CORAL GABLES, FL – UNC women’s soccer’s Crystal Dunn has done just about everything there is to do on the soccer field. But on Sunday night, she recorded her first hat trick of her career as the Tar Heels ended their two-game losing streak in emphatic fashion, brushing aside the Miami Hurricanes 4-0.

The Tar Heels improved to 8-2 on the season and 2-2 in the ACC with the victory while Miami fell to 6-3 overall and 1-3 in the conference.

Dunn notched the first hat trick by a UNC player since Courtney Jones scored three goals against Duke on October 28, 2010 in a 5-3 Carolina win.

Remarkably, UNC outshot the Hurricanes 22-2 in the match and had a 10-1 edge in shots on goal.

The Tar Heels will continue their road trip Thursday when they play at ACC newcomer Pittsburgh. The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and will be available on ESPN3. It will mark the first meeting in history between the Tar Heels and the Panthers.
