CHAPEL HILL – Tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator for Carolina Football, Walt Bell’s days of calling offensive plays for the Tar Heels will hold at one as he’s agreed to take the offensive coordinator job at Arkansas State.

Bell filled in for former UNC offensive coordinator, Blake Anderson, in the Belk Bowl. December 28 marked the first day on the job for the Red Wolves’ new leader, Anderson.

Bell played football at Middle Tennessee State. He became a full-time assistant under the direction of Larry Fedora at Southern Miss where Bell coached wide receivers.

Fedora brought Bell will him from Southern Miss, and the 2013 campaign marked the second season they coached at Carolina.

Bell’s tweet also mentioned that Anderson is taking UNC graduate assistant Luke Paschall with him to Arkansas State.
