UNC junior Brayden Schnur has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Schnur helped Carolina to the program’s first ITA National Team Indoor Championship. The Tar Heels knocked off No. 1 Virginia, which was hosting the tournament, 4-2 on Monday for the championship.

That win snapped the UVA streak of 140 consecutive wins over ACC opponents.

Schnur earned two wins in the tournament, including one over defending NCAA singles champion Ryan Shane of Virginia.

UNC is 10-0 on the season and is now ranked number one in the country in the latest ITA rankings.

Carolina will be back on the court at one o’clock Sunday afternoon hosting Wofford.
