The UNC women’s tennis team claimed singles and doubles titles on Sunday at the Freeman Memorial Tennis Championship in Las Vegas.

Hayley Carter won the singles championship. Carter and Whitney Kay were the doubles champions.

Carter was the top seed in the tournament and is the sixth-ranked player in the country. She did not lose a set in her five matches over the weekend.

Carter was also part of the top seed in the doubles bracket with Kay. The two Tar Heels make up the number two doubles team in the country.

UNC will host the ITA Kick-Off Weekend on Friday and Saturday at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. The first match of the weekend will pit Tulsa against Marshall. Carolina will get into the action against Yale. The two winning teams will face off on Saturday afternoon.
