A 7-0 first-half scoring run led No. 3 UNC over No. 13 Duke on Saturday afternoon as the Carolina women’s lacrosse team finished off an undefeated regular season Atlantic Coast Conference slate.

North Carolina secured the top seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament with the 16-8 victory over the Blue Devils.

Ela Hazar and Aly Messinger led the offensive attack for the Tar Heels with three goals each.

UNC has now won 10 games in a row.

This marks the second years in a row that Carolina has won the ACC regular season title and the seventh regular-season conference crown overall.

UNC will be back on the field this week for an ACC Tournament quarterfinal matchup with Virginia Tech. The Tar Heels and Hokies will face off at noon on Thursday in Blacksburg.
