CHAPEL HILL – The No. 14 UNC women’s basketball team (up one spot Monday in the AP top 25) heads south for a pair of games in the Myrtle Beach Classic Monday and Wednesday.

The Tar Heels are coming off their second triple-digit victory of the year with a 100-49 win against Charleston Southern Saturday. Five players scored in double figures and 12 players saw playing time.

Monday’s opponent, New Orleans, is winless this season after seven contests and ranks third from last in RPI.

UNC is 2-1 on a neutral court this season; the Tar Heels lost to Arizona State in overtime in the Cancun Challenge.

Wednesday’s opponent, No. 10 South Carolina, will be a test for North Carolina as the Gamecocks are unbeaten through nine. South Carolina is second in the NCAA in scoring defense, allowing an average of only 47.4 points per game.
