After being unanimously selected to finish atop the ACC last week, the UNC volleyball team debuted at No. 11 in the AVCA preseason poll released on Wednesday.

It’s just the fifth time the Tar Heels have ever been ranked in the preseason, and marks the second-highest preseason ranking in program history.

Voted on by members of the American Volleyball Coaches Association, the AVCA top 25 has included head coach Joe Sagula’s UNC squad each week it has been released since Nov. 9, 2015.

The Tar Heels are scheduled to face five teams who are included in the preseason poll this season–including their season opener against No. 4 Minnesota as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Other top five teams include: No. 1 Texas, No. 2 Stanford, No. 3 Washington and No. 5 Nebraska.

UNC is the only ACC school among the top 25.
