Carolina senior volleyball middle hitter Paige Neuenfeldt has been named to the Academic All-America First Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The honor was announced on Thursday.

Neuenfeldt is one of six student-athletes in Division I Volleyball to earn a spot on the first team, and she is the first Carolina volleyball player in program history to be named Academic All-America, according to the university.

Neuenfeldt was named first team All-ACC for the fourth time in her career this season and became the first Tar Heel in program history to earn All-Region recognition four years in a row.

Neuenfeldt finished her career with the most total blocks, block assists and blocks per set in school history, according to UNC.
