CHARLOTTE – The North Carolina and South Carolina football programs will meet up in a battle on the border in 2015 at Bank of American Stadium, the Charlotte Sports Foundation announced Thursday morning.

Bank of America Stadium is the home of the Carolina Panthers as well as the ACC Championship Game and the Belk Bowl.

The Charlotte Sports Foundation is a non-profit organization with the goal of bringing high-caliber athletic events to the Queen City. The organization’s executive director said Thursday in a press conference that with the strong alumni presence of the two schools in the area, this will be a great opportunity for the programs and the city.

The game time and ticket information as well as broadcasting network will be announced at a later date.
