The schedule for the upcoming 2018 UNC men’s lacrosse season was released on Friday, with the season opener set for Feb. 3 at home against Lafayette.

UNC heads into the new year fresh off an ACC Tournament Championship in 2017, and is seeking its 12th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.

Following the opener against Lafayette, head coach Joe Breschi’s squad will take on Furman and Lehigh at home–before traveling to face perennial powerhouse Johns Hopkins on Feb. 23.

Other notable non-conference matchups include a home showdown with Denver on March 5 and a neutral-site game in Costa Mesa, California on March 24 against defending national champion Maryland.

The Tar Heels will close out the year with four straight ACC games against Duke, Virginia, Syracuse and Notre Dame.

ACC Tournament play is set to begin in Charlottesville, Virginia on Friday, April 27.
