Sophomore offensive tackle Charlie Heck was selected to the All-ACC Academic Football Team, the conference announced on Wednesday–making him the only Tar Heel on the 68-player roster.

Minimum requirements for players to be chosen for the team include at least a 3.0 grade point average in the most recent semester, as well as a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 throughout their collegiate careers.

Athletic achievements are also factored into the selections.

Heck started all 12 games for the Tar Heels this past season, as they limped to a 3-9 record.

All 13 other ACC schools placed at least two players on the All-Academic team, with UNC as the only program to have just one.

Duke led the way with 13 selections, while Pittsburgh (eight) and Clemson (seven) checked in just behind.
