Although it’s a common tradition for championship winning teams to visit the White House, the UNC men’s basketball team will not be celebrating its accomplishment with President Donald Trump this year.

Trump took to Twitter early Saturday morning in order to revoke the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors’ invitation to the White House after star guard Stephen Curry offended him by saying he wasn’t sure he’d want to go.

This led to other NBA stars–such as LeBron James and Kobe Bryant–bashing the president on Twitter for his conduct.

With the Curry incident bringing the issue to a national spotlight, a spokesman for UNC said that the team will not be visiting the White House this year–citing scheduling issues as the reason why, and not anything to do with Trump or politics.

School officials said the two sides tried to make “eight or nine” different dates work, however they were unable to come to an agreement.

UNC previously visited the White House under President Barack Obama following its title in 2009, but the Tar Heels did not visit after their championship run in 2005 when George W. Bush was in office.
