Back-to-back wins–a blowout over Boston College at home and a thriller against Notre Dame on the road–helped move UNC up five spots in this week’s Associated Press men’s basketball Top 25.

The Tar Heels (14-4, 3-2 ACC) had previously dropped to No. 20, their lowest ranking of the season, after dropping two straight ACC games on the road at Florida State and at Virginia.

Villanova held on to the No. 1 spot this week, with Virginia moving up to No. 2. Purdue, Oklahoma and Duke make up the rest of the top five.

The back half of the top 10 is made up of a group that includes: No. 6 West Virginia, No. 7 Wichita State, No. 8 Texas Tech, No. 9 Michigan State and No. 10 Kansas.

In addition to Virginia, Duke and UNC, No. 20 Clemson and No. 25 Miami give the ACC five ranked teams this week.

UNC will have a pair of home games this week, as it hosts Clemson on Tuesday and Georgia Tech on Saturday.
