True freshman Josh Martin led the North Carolina men’s golf team to a third place finish at the Sea Best Invitational.
The Tar Heels finished at +18, tied with Arkansas, behind Liberty (+9) and Florida (-14).
Martin finished third overall for individual at -3. It was his highest finished in a tournament in his Carolina career and his third top seven performance in his first five collegiate starts.
William Register finished second for the Tar Heels at +7, followed by Carter Jenkins at +8, Henry Do at +12, and Ben Griffin at +13.
Griffin finished as the Tar Heels’ leading scorer in their final round with a two-over 72.
