Despite winning its only game this past week–a blowout of Northern Iowa at the Smith Center–the UNC men’s basketball team fell one spot in the latest AP Top 25.

In the new poll released on Monday the Tar Heels found themselves at No. 9, which is the lowest they’ve been ranked so far this season.

It’s through no fault of their own, however, as Louisville jumped from No. 10 all the way to No. 6 after its win over now No. 8 Kentucky–a team that handed UNC its second loss of the season just a week earlier.

Villanova, UCLA, Kansas, Baylor and Duke again make up the top five teams in the nation, while No. 7 Gonzaga and No. 10 Creighton join the Cardinals, Wildcats and Tar Heels among the nation’s top ten.

The ACC continues to lead the nation with six ranked schools, with No. 12 Virginia, No. 20 Florida State and No. 24 Notre Dame remaining in the poll as well.

UNC (11-2) will finish out its non-conference schedule on Wednesday with a home game against Monmouth, before opening ACC play on New Year’s Eve in Atlanta against Georgia Tech.
