The Tropic Bowl is intended to give NFL scouts a chance to see some of the draft-eligible players before the selections are made in April.

Rashad was a third-team All-ACC selection for his performance during his senior campaign that finished with 126 tackles, including a team-high 8.5 tackles for loss, while the Tar Heels had one of the best seasons in program history. Rashad also recorded three forced fumbles and two interceptions on the season.

Thomason had 42 tackles and 3.5 sacks as a senior defensive lineman.
