The ACC released its 2016 All-Academic Team on Wednesday, with a pair of Tar Heels making the cut.

Offensive guard Caleb Peterson and kicker Nick Weiler–each seniors–were part of the 66-man list announced by league commissioner John Swofford.

Students must have earned a 3.0 grade point average for their most recent semester, while also maintaining a 3.0 cumulative average during his academic career.

Peterson is still working on his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science, while Weiler has begun taking steps toward a Masters in Accounting.

The team was selected from a pool of 143 student-athletes nominated by their respective schools.

Duke led the conference with 14 selections, finishing ahead of Boston College, Pitt and Wake Forest–who each had six apiece.
