CHAPEL HILL– The No.9 UNC men’s soccer team captured a 1-0 shutout win over Georgia State in Chapel Hill to improve to 8-3-5 on the season while Georgia State fell to 8-9-1.

Tyler Engel scored his fourth game-winning goal of the year in the win as the Tar Heel defense hasn’t given up a score since the UNC-W match Oct. 22.

UNC goalkeeper Brendan Moore recorded his ninth clean sheet of the season and lowered his ACC-leading goals-against-average to 0.52.

Carolina has now won five of their last six matches with the last regular season match-up on Friday at 7 p.m. against N.C. State.
