The final regular season non-conference game for the No. 5 UNC women’s lacrosse team saw the Tar Heels absolutely demolished the Canisius Golden Griffins 22-3 in Syracuse–stretching its win streak to five games.

Eight different players scored at least two goals for UNC (11-3), led by four goals and three assists from Ela Hazar.

It was also the Tar Heels’ second-highest scoring output of the season, trailing only the 23 goals they scored against Liberty back in February.

This one was never in doubt at any point, either, as UNC jumped out to a 5-0 lead early on and extended it to 10-3 by halftime. The second half brought even more destruction for the home side, with the Tar Heels scoring all 12 goals in the half to complete the blowout.

In total, the Tar Heels tallied 43 shots compared to just 12 for Canisius.
