The ACC Men’s Swimming Championship begins Wednesday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. The Tar Heels will be bidding for their first ACC title in men’s swimming and diving since back in 1998.

Head Coach Rich DeSelm’s squad is currently ranked No. 14 in the nation with an 8-2 mark in the dual meet season.

In order to capture an ACC title, the Tar Heels will likely have to take down their fiercest rival, the Virginia Cavaliers. UVA has won six straight ACC championships.

In total, five conference members enter the conference championship in the national rankings including UVA, N.C. State, Florida State, Virginia Tech and of course, the Tar Heels.

The complete 19-man competitive team for the Championships will be announced Wednesday afternoon. Live video streaming of event finals can be seen on theACC.com Thursday through Saturday starting at 7 p.m.
