With Wednesday being the deadline for underclassmen to choose whether they will return to school or remain in the NBA Draft process, UNC freshman forward Tony Bradley decided he will hire an agent and begin his professional career.

The 6-foot-10-inch Bradley, who also possesses a 7-foot-5-inch wingspan, is currently projected as a second round pick–according to DraftExpress.com.

A McDonalds All-American coming out of high school in Bartow, Florida, Bradley averaged 6.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game for the Tar Heels last season in limited playing time off the bench.

When Bradley was on the floor, however, his long arms and ability to grab rebounds at a high rate–especially on the offensive end–made quite an impression.

Bradley also becomes the first “one-and-done” player at UNC since Brandan Wright back in 2007.

His departure leaves rising junior Luke Maye as UNC’s only returning frontcourt player for next season.

The Tar Heels will likely have to rely heavily on the freshman trio of Garrison Brooks, Brandon Huffman and Sterling Manley in the upcoming campaign. None of these three big men, however, are ranked on ESPN’s Top 100 recruiting list.

With the emphasis that head coach Roy Williams’ system places on the forwards, the Tar Heels may have to alter their approach next season with the wealth of their talent playing in the backcourt.

Bradley is the second Tar Heel to leave school early this offseason. ACC Player of the Year Justin Jackson declared his draft intentions shortly after the end of the regular season.

The NBA Draft is set to take place on June 22.
