CHAPEL HILL – The No. 4 Carolina women’s soccer team takes to Fetzer Field Thursday at 7:00 p.m. for a league match against NC State.

The Tar Heels come into the contest off a win against Maryland Sunday and currently sit at 10-2, 4-2 on the season. After losing back-to-back games to Notre Dame and Florida State, Coach Anson Dorrance’s squad has rebounded nicely with three straight victories.

The brutal schedule for Carolina has no doubt put it in prime position for a top seeding come NCAA tournament time. In fact, the Tar Heels currently reside at No. 1 in the NCAA RPI poll released Monday.

NC State will surely be hungry to spoil the evening for UNC. The Wolfpack comes in with a 6-7, 1-6 record this season.

And Tar Heel fans everywhere will have ample opportunity to catch the game. It will be broadcast nationally by ESPN3 and WCHL’s live coverage will air on 97.9 FM and streamed here.
