CHAPEL HILL – The No. 1 UNC baseball team continues its home stand Friday with a 3:00 p.m. first pitch against rival Duke.

Game time was shifted up due to the threat of inclement weather. There’s a 40-percent chance of thunderstorms beginning at 1:00 p.m., but at 4:00 p.m. the chances increase to 70 percent and up to 80 percent at 7:00 p.m.

The Tar Heels are coming off their second beating of the Elon Phoenix on Wednesday as UNC got the win 14-5. That extended Carolina’s winning streak to 12, now just four behind the longest streak of the season after opening the year 16-0.

Duke is 22-17 overall but holds an 8-10 record in league play. The Blue Devils are also coming off a dominant win, 12-2 against N.C. A&T after being swept by Florida State last weekend in Tallahassee.

Due to the early start time, WCHL will not broadcast Friday’s contest. You can hear it online by clicking here. Saturday’s contest at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday’s series finale at 2:00 p.m. can be heard live on WCHL.
