CHAPEL HILL- UNC men’s lacrosse head coach, Joe Breschi, announced Tuesday that Pat Myers will take on the role of associate head coach.
Myers has been a member of the staff for five seasons and will assume his new role immediately.
Breschi says Myers is well deserving of the promotion as he is one of the premier offensive coaches in the nation and is a top recruiter for the Tar Heels, bringing in top talent to Chapel Hill each and every year.
Myers’ past roles with the team include, head assistant coach, offensive coordinator, and recruiting coordinator. Last season, Myers’ offense was ranked fourth best in the country, scoring an impressive 13.35 goals per game. In fact, that tally marked the highest scoring average for the Tar Heels since the 1996 season.
Myers says he is grateful for the recognition and is excited about his future as he continues with his coaching in Chapel Hill.
