CHAPEL HILL– Coming off wins last week against previous No. 1 Michigan State and UNC-Greensboro, the Tar Heel basketball team is back among the Top 25 in both national polls released Monday.

Carolina moved up to No. 18 in the AP Poll and No. 21 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Carolina had been No. 25 in the coaches poll and unranked in the AP poll a week ago.

The Tar Heels are off this week for exams, but they will return to action this Saturday when they host No. 10 Kentucky.

Other ACC teams featured in the polls include No. 3 Syracuse and No. 7 Duke.

As for the women, the Tar Heels are ranked No. 15 in the most recent AP poll with a 7-2 record. Undefeated Duke is ranked second in the nation.
