The No. 4 Miami Hurricanes won the second game in a row against the visiting No. 7 North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday night in Coral Gables.

UNC got out to an early 1-0 lead with the sixth home run of the season from Tyler Ramirez in the second inning. Carolina added another run to the lead in the second before Miami scored five runs in the third inning.

Miami would never relinquish that lead.

The Tar Heels added to the scoreline with a home run from Zach Gahagan in the top of the eighth inning to bring the score to 6-3.

Miami added an insurance run in their half of the eighth to get to the final margin of 7-3.

The final game of the series will be played at one o’clock on Sunday afternoon.
