Top Drawer Soccer released its annual men’s Best XI teams on Monday, with three Tar Heels earning a spot on the rosters.

Midfielder Cam Lindley was named a First Team selection after racking up seven goals and 13 assists this season, the most assists by a Tar Heel since 2002.

Lindley was Top Drawer Soccer’s Freshman of the Year in 2016, and is now widely recognized as one of the best players in the nation.

After leading the team with 11 goals, senior forward Alan Winn got himself a spot on the Third Team.

Rounding out the Tar Heel selections was freshman defender John Nelson, who was selected to the Freshman Best XI Team after starting all 22 games during his debut campaign.

The trio helped guide UNC to its second straight NCAA College Cup appearance, where the Tar Heels fell to Indiana in the semifinals.
