Two overtimes weren’t enough to separate two of the nation’s top five men’s soccer teams on Friday night, as the No. 4 Tar Heels fought to 0-0 draw on the road against the No. 5 Louisville Cardinals.

Entering Friday’s match, UNC (11-2-1, 4-1-1 ACC) ranked second in the country with 37 goals–while Louisville (9-1-3, 4-1-1 ACC) came in having surrendered an conference-low eight goals.

The Tar Heels finished with a slight advantage in shots–tallying eight compared to seven for the Cardinals–but neither team managed a serious threat during the night.

On the positive side, UNC still gained a point in the standings to stay atop the ACC Coastal Division–three points ahead of second-place Notre Dame.
