MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.– The No. 14 North Carolina women’s basketball team will close out its trip to Myrtle Beach with a showdown against No. 10 South Carolina Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

The 9-2 Tar Heels come into the contest on a hot streak. They shattered the school scoring record Monday night, posting 124 points against New Orleans.

The 9-0 Gamecocks are on a roll as well. Not only do they boast an unblemished record, their games haven’t even been close. Their smallest margin of victory was 15 points on Sunday against UNC-Charlotte.

UNC freshman sensation Diamond DeShields will be looking to build on her 20 point performance from Monday night.
