Fresh off two of his best performances of the season, UNC junior point guard Joel Berry was named the ACC Player of the Week on Monday for the third time during the 2016-17 campaign.

The Florida native poured in a career-high 31 points–including seven three-pointers–in UNC’s overtime win over Clemson on Tuesday, before adding 19 points, five rebounds and five assists in the team’s 51-point blowout over NC State on Sunday.

It’s Berry’s fourth ACC Player of the Week selection in his career, making him just the 10th Tar Heel all-time to win the award that many times.

Prior to this week, Berry battled an illness that hampered his performance in games against Monmouth and Georgia Tech.

Despite those uncharacteristic off-nights, he’s still averaging 15 points and close to four rebounds and four assists per outing.

Now that their leader has proven he’s back at full strength with a pair of big games this past week, the Tar Heels appear well-equipped for Wake Forest on Wednesday–and a huge showdown at home against No. 9 Florida State on Saturday.
