UNC senior point guard Joel Berry was among five players named as finalists for the Bob Cousy Award on Monday, with the announcement coming from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

This marks the 15th year that the award–which recognizes the top point guard in Division I men’s college basketball–has been handed out.

Berry is joined as a finalist by a list of fantastic point guards that includes: Trae Young (Oklahoma), Devonte’ Graham (Kansas), Jalen Brunson (Villanova) and Jevon Carter (West Virginia).

The list is determined by a national committee of top college basketball personnel including media members, head coaches, sports information directors and Hall of Famers.

Berry currently leads the Tar Heels with a 17.8 point per game scoring average, and was recently named a First Team All-ACC selection alongside teammate Luke Maye.

The winner of the award will be announced live on ESPN’s College Basketball Awards, which take place on April 6 in Los Angeles.
