Over the course of her four years at UNC, Hayley Carter built a list of accomplishments which will be nearly impossible to recreate.

Although her final match in a Tar Heel uniform happened a month ago, Carter added one last line to that list–as the ACC named her on Monday its women’s tennis Scholar Athlete of the Year for the second straight season.

Athletes must have a 3.0 grade point average throughout their collegiate careers–and in the most recent semester–in order to qualify for the honor. Athletic achievements in the most recent season are also factored into the decision.

Carter is now the only women’s tennis player in ACC history to win the league’s Player of the Year, Tournament MVP and Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors in back-to-back seasons.

She also holds the ACC record for career singles victories with 168, and was named the ITA National Senior Player of the Year in 2017 after posting an incredible 28-0 record during UNC’s dual match campaign.
