CHARLESTON, S.C.– The No. 11 Tar Heel baseball team travels down to Charleston for the opening series of the season against the College of Charleston.

The three-game set was originally scheduled to be played in Chapel Hill, but the winter weather pushed the game further south. But the Tar Heels have arrived in Charleston and will be looking to get the season off to a positive start.

Junior pitcher Benton Moss will open up on the mound for Carolina on Saturday for game one at 2 p.m.

Since Mike Fox took over as head coach of the Tar Heels in 1999, UNC is 1 perfect 15-0 in season openers. The Tar Heels will be hoping to continue that streak on Saturday.

Overall, Carolina leads the series against the College of Charleston 2-0, but this weekend will mark the first three-game series between the two clubs.
