Although the UNC men’s soccer team came up short in the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals on Sunday, the Tar Heels had five players named to the All-ACC teams on Tuesday–including the conference Midfielder of the Year in sophomore Cam Lindley.

Lindley–who ranks fourth in the nation with 11 assists and has helped lead a UNC offense which ranks third in the nation in goals per game–became the first Tar Heel to win that award since it was created in 2014.

The Carmel, Indiana native also joined forward Alan Winn as the two UNC players on the All-ACC First Team roster, while forward Zach Wright was the lone Tar Heel placed on the Second Team.

Junior defender Alex Comsia and sophomore midfielder Mauricio Pineda were each members of the Third Team, tying UNC with Virginia and Wake Forest at five All-ACC selections apiece.
