In what was not a surprise to many, Brice Johnson was named the ACC Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Johnson had a dominant game against Florida State, scoring 39 points and grabbing 23 rebounds. He joins Billy Cunningham as the only players in UNC history to have those numbers.

UNC coach Roy Williams called Johnson’s game against Florida State a “man’s night.”

He followed up his career high in points and rebounds by setting a career high in assists against Syracuse with a 16 point, 4 rebound, 8 assist game.

Over the two game stretch Johnson shot 78 percent from the field.

Earlier in the season, Brice Johnson shared ACC Player of the Week honors with NC State’s Cat Barber.

Duke’s Brandon Ingram was named ACC Rookie of the Week.
