Chapel Hill native–and UNC junior–Ben Griffin earned All-American honors for the second time in his young career on Monday, as he finished 11th overall at the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship.

Griffin and ACC Champion Jimmy Stanger (Virginia) each posted the same score at Rich Harvest Farms, as they represented the league’s best performances over the weekend.

The UNC standout shot 2-under par on the first day of the event, before closing it out with three straight even-par 72’s.

His final round 72 was more than five shots better than the average score for the day.

No Tar Heel has finished as high in this event as Griffin’s 11th place effort since 1999–when Max Harris was sixth and Don Hill was 10th.
